Happy to know that my new initiative implemented by Kozhencherry YMCA Sub-Region to find young Talents for Civil Services and National Exams from Rural backgrounds -Walk with a Civil Servant getting more attention from Student communities and Schools. Pilot Programme is implemented at Pathanamthitta District,Kerala -which is my home district too.Purpose of the programme is to help children who are interested in Civil Services and other national Competitive Exams and bring them under an Umbrella of Opportunities. Around 95 Schools registered so far from Pathanamthitta District and No: of Children applied till yesterday is 985. This initiative is for Children who are studying in 9,10,11 and 12th Classes. Final Coaching will be free for selected meritorious candidates.It will include Preliminary-cum free coaching,Daily study plan,Job Opportunities,Introduction of Books and Magazines,Scholarships for eligible economically and regionally backward students,Civil Service Camps and formation of Study Groups,Career Plan for next 7 years, Mock interviews and Interaction with Civil Servants in their chamber etc. Final group of 10 students will get Personalized training and guidance and also they will be 5 group consists of 2 students each.First 2 students(One Girl/One boy) will be the Icon of Year of the Programme. Selection will be based on a Descriptive Test,Group discussion and Personal Interview. headed by Educationalists,Civil Servants and Academicians. Thanks to YMCA for their institutional support to my idea. N.B : (Entire process is funded by YMCA Kozhencherry Sub-region and did not include any type of fee including Registration fee. Also its not a coaching institute concept too.Here I am planning of the concept of Mutual Help by Building a Chain of Similar thinking people and it will be purely a Not-for-Profit idea)
