Happy to share that I was recently awarded a Ph.d (Vidyavaridhi) by Rashtriya Samskrita Samsthan, New Delhi for my thesis on the subject - वेदव्याख्याने श्रीमन्मध्वाचार्याणां विशिष्टं योगदानम् (Unique contribution of Sri Madhwacharya to Vedic Exegesis). Apart from highlighting in detail several unique contributions of Sri Madhwacharya to Vedic thought with a comparative study of various available commentaries of others like Skanda Swami, Sayana, Venkata Madhava, the thesis also takes a critical look at the allegations about the deliberate fabrication of Shruti passages by Acharya Madhwa and possible Jaina Influence on Madhwa Thought by western scholars like Roque Mesquita and Valarie Stoker. ऋगागमाद्यकूपारतरणे अकुशलोपि सन् वातव्रातसमुन्नीतो ह्यगां नौरिव सागरम् । राचूरिवंशजातेन राघवेन्द्रेण निर्मिता । प्रबन्धमणिमालेयं राजतां श्रीशपादयोः ।। Though not adept in crossing the vast oceans of the Vedas, I could somehow cross-over, like a small boat, duly propelled by the strong wind (Lord Sri Vayu). Let this humble literary offering shine like a garland at the holy feet of Lord Sri Hari.
