Has been doing some house cleaning, so when I see this, I cannot agree more. After going through piles and piles of things, I dont think I want to buy anything in the next few years. This is so overwhelming! [Sharing of Thought] Everything You Buy is Rubbish Three friends, Charles Duffy, William Gubbins and Riley Turvey was influenced by a book named, TEN BILLIOM, and started this project of Everything is Rubbish. They went to the seaside of England to pick up rubbish, and use these rubbish to make shoes, to demonstrate the rubbish legacy that human created, in an artistic way. Contemporary footwear spends barely a fraction of its life hugging a foot. For the majority of its life it is rubbish. Whether in a landfill or washed up on a shoreline, the synthetics within the shoes—in addition to the plethora of plastic we discard—will take centuries to break down.
