Hatred is the birth of desire. At a subtle level hatred is the force that awakens separation, so there is "something to desire." In this way there is something to interact with, thus distance. Hatred is that distance. Sometimes I teach that love is the origin of desire. I describe with great passion how creation is motivated by love, the willingness to face anything to discover. Hatred observes from the perspective of "there is something to become aware of." Love observes from the perspective of "there is awareness." Love is the death of individuality. It destroys what you think you are, so there is nothing to interact with. Yet there is unity in this. There is understanding. Each time you had a heartbreak, it was a pride break, knocking down some of the walls inside that little box you call a heart, creating more room, once you cleaned up the mess inside. Hatred was the final push to create individuality and the perception of distance and separation. To fuse back into the oneness you must not deny or reject any experience(hatred). You offer no resistance, offer no force. Just be aware, and through this awareness, understanding is natural. Love obliterates your heart, there are no more walls to contain a limited array of experiences. The undefined experience of love has no walls, and embraces the whole. Love is the view of unity, hatred is the view of separation. The gaze is the same. If there is something to love, there is implied distance, hence separation, installed by hatred. If there is love, it is not isolated in a single or even in a group of providers. It overflows and saturates creation.
