Have you checked your pets Microchip details are correct and up to date? I received a distressing phone call this morning from a Council Ranger who had found a cat, bred by me, dead on the side of a road. They scanned the cat for a microchip and contacted the registered owner. BUT the chip details didnt match the owner details and so they contacted me. I now need to find out who is missing their beautiful kitty cat and notify them of its death :-( This is the third Furkidz Birman I have been notified of being killed on the road - PLEASE KEEP YOUR CATS INSIDE! Sometimes paperwork gets mixed up at the vets, or owners forget to update their details when they move house - leading to lost pets not being reunited with their owners. Next time you visit your vet PLEASE have them check the microchip number of all your pets - make sure these numbers match your registration details and confirm that all your contact details are up to date. Im not looking forward to the phone call I will need to make tonight.... :-(
