Have you ever noticed how religious hypocrites cant stand on the authority of the Word when they attack, (because they are violating it).......so they resort to calling people NAMES......like stupid, or idiot, or heretic, or false teacher, or liar, or whatever. Remember loves, names and accusations cant hurt us UNLESS THEY ARE TRUE....:) If you live your life in obedience to the Word, nobody is taking you down.....and they make themselves look really bad in the attempt......lol. AUTHORITY IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! I cant overstate that. I can stand here on my own wall - no matter who comes here, or what they say because Im the authority here, and defer my authority to the Kings administration. Misled believers think that the Word gives them authority to correct and rebuke anyone in their path. They are mistaken. The scripture is very specific that we correct and rebuke WITH ALL AUTHORITY. TITUS 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. That scripture doesnt GIVE believers authority over anyone they dont already have authority over. It is saying to correct and rebuke WITHIN the chain of authority. If you have authority over someone, such as a child, an employee, or if you are a pastor of a congregation, then rebuke and correct away because God gives them the grace to receive it from you and apply it to their lives. BUT.....even a pastor cant walk outside of the church and correct and rebuke someone who is not a member of his church without stepping OUTSIDE of his authority in doing so. If you rebuke or correct ANYONE who you do not directly have authority over, you are in violation of the Word of God in doing so. Notice that the scripture says LET NO MAN DESPISE THEE. Why do you think God added that?? Its to show by the Spirit that we only correct and rebuke WITHIN our authority.....because if we step outside of it and impose ourselves upon someone we have no authority over, THEY WILL DESPISE US, and rightfully so. We know the authenticity of a message by the fruits of the one bearing that message, the verification of that message with the Word.....AND the authority of the person through whom the message is delivered. God is not going to give a message to someone for me who has no authority to deliver it. He uses my husband, my authority to lead me. Thats just how He does things. Thats a very ugly religious spirit that holds them captive as they lash out. Ive been there, so I recognize it well. That might be why Im so hard on them as well. My fault had to hit me right between the eyes, and I had to hurt my dear friend to learn this one. Weve got to be hard on this type of captivity because these captive believers HURT AND OFFEND EVERYONE IN THEIR PATH. They are the enemys strongest weapon against the lost to deter them from Jesus. Nobody wants to spend eternity with those hypocrites!!! People would prefer to go to hell than go to heaven with them. I cant blame them.
