Have you forgotten how it felt that day to see our homeland under - TopicsExpress

Have you forgotten how it felt that day to see our homeland under fire and her people blown away? Daryl Worley I have rarely mentioned this in this manner over 13 yrs., as I usually dont talk much about it. I typically just note let us remain vigil and pray for those who lost loved ones. The media says dont show the footage anymore because it breeds anger. Today I am angry knowing that there is a whole generation now 18yrs and under who were less than 5, or not even born, that may know only 1 page in a history book. I am angry knowing the terror in the world today and hearing the President speak last night on ISIS as they continue to slaughter and behead innocent people - I wish we all remembered. As one who used to work in one of the towers (just months before), and then watched it fall before my very eyes that day - I have not forgotten. As a community leader that day engaged on the ground as we led our town to use our ferries to evacuate lower Manhattan and pulled thousands of people terrified and covered in debris, blood and tears from the river that day - I have not forgotten. As we worked to send search and rescue supplies in during the coming weeks, and held regular candlelight vigils and prayer meetings hoping to find one more alive, and as I escorted newly made widows to police taped lots for their husbands cars - I can assure you I have not forgotten. I will not forget. I pray we as a nation can find a way to heal, but never ever forget.
