Have you gotten a mailer from Debora Nearman, Tom Hammer, Rep Mike McLane or PromoteOregon? Were you shocked to learn that Im a Democrat? Apparently, all of Mike Nearmans supporters were! It looks like the best they can do is send a mailer with photos of me at the 2012 Democratic National Convention and say that I support the president. The funny thing is that the links to news stories actually tell a different story. I know the folks who arent voting for me wont look up the stories to learn the truth. And those of you who know me dont need to. However, I wont be offended at all if you do. I encourage it. I guess Im now a Portland liberal with huge contributions from liberal Portland interests and unions. I just have to say that, yes, Im a proud union member and several unions have endorsed me but I dont have a lot of money. In fact, my total cash contributions are less than $29,000. Mr. Nearmans cash contributions have topped $133,000. Some of his contributors are Oregon Right to Life at about $60,000, Oregon Family Council at $42,500. He also took out of state money from Phillips 66, BP North American Employees PAC, and Koch Industries. As you can see, the money he took from either Oregon Right to Life or Oregon Family Council is far more than I got from all contributors combined. Ill stop telling the truth about Mike Nearman when his folks stop lying about me.
