Havent had any pain meds in over 18 hours, about the same amount of time for antibiotics. Up until yesterday I was allowed to leave my room, then out of nowhere when I was walking around security stopped me and took me back to my room. The doctors excuse was that being on pain meds, I shouldnt be out of bed. Of the uncountable times Ive been hospitalized I have never heard this before. I was on a very low dose of dilaudid and vicodin, the same dose I was on since I got here. Walking while under the influence is bad I guess, still wondering why it took til yesterday for them to mention anything. Should I check myself out and go to St Vincent? They said if I check myself out I wont get pain killers or antibiotics, which they have already stopped anyway. My pain is through the roof and its hard to let them do dressing changes because they stick these thick string looking things under me skin and that hurt like hell while on pain killers. I just cant believe they would treat anyone like this.
