Hawaiian Historical Society FB Membership Drive (Day 6) [From Don Hibbard] History is always with us, deeply entwined in our lives and identities. And, just like other familiar, crucial parts of our lives, such as family or true friends, we may sometimes take it for granted. What I appreciate about the Hawaiian Historical Society is that its members, board and staff know that just like our friends and families, the spirit and embodiments of our history are dear and precious, and need to be kept close, nurtured, and at times even protected. Thanks to the efforts of the Historical Society our past is always within reach, and its details and nuances are there for anyone willing to seek them out.
