So many people feel that if someone is spreading gossip to them at work, school, or social settings that they will never be a part of the gossip themselves. Gossip is a destructive thing to even listen to. If you are allowing the gossip to enter your ears, you have allowed the gossiper to ...gossip. Thinks about it. If you kindly tell them that you are better off not knowing the latest gossip, who will they tell it to? Dont fret, they will find someone, just not you. Now this will mean people who love gossip will not want to visit with you as much and you will not be in the know. But your life will be easier. Turmoil from gossip is a huge time killer. Also, for anyone who either gossips with a group of people or a select few, they will gossip about you. I can not tell you how many break rooms I have been in where two - three people were complaining and gossiping about someone and as soon as one of them left from the group, the rest of the group attacked them. It was like all new material had been given to them to fuel the fire. ( I avoid Break rooms now) We all know the difference between talking about someone if we are trying to help them. But do be careful about that too.Sometimes people discuss a persons issues just to be able to discuss them with others. Fine line between concern and spreading what you know. So be careful about what you say and repeat. If you just have trouble with that and need to tell someone. Pray to God about it and Gossip to Him .:) Have a great day and Nip Gossip Before It STARTS!
