Head of al-Jaja currency exchanging office in #Damascus admits to violating laws Oct 27, 2013- Damascus, (SANA) – Head of the al-Jaja Currency Exchanging Office, Yaser al-Jaja, confessed to violating the laws governing the work of the currency offices. In confessions broadcast on the Syrian TV on Sunday, al-Jaja also confessed to hiding foreign currencies as to sell them in the black markets. He said that the office is licensed by the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) to buy and sell Arab and foreign currencies, adding that he was dealing with persons to smuggle money into #Lebanon. Mohammad, a worker at the office, said that his job was to bring money from specific persons in Damascus and transact them into Lebanon, adding that the law enforcement caught him and al-Jaja red-handed and discovered the caches in which al-Jaja was hiding the money before smuggling them to Lebanon.
