Heads up, Elkhart drivers! SR 19 traffic from Franklin St to the river will begin to use the new pavement on the west side of the road tomorrow (Sept. 11). South of Franklin St, drivers will continue to use the eastern lanes until water main work under the railroad overpass is complete. ALSO - the eastern leg of Franklin St will close tomorrow thru late October. The detour will be SR 19 to Lusher Ave to Oakland Ave to Franklin. After the eastern leg closes, the new western leg appeoach will open. Stay tuned for maps to follow.
