Received in email from Sherri J, Independent Transport Coordinator, Minneaplis MN IOWA and MN Anybody that has taken part in sending or transporting dogs to a woman named MELISSA CARROLL in Albert Lea, MN might want to READ THIS! She has taken in multiple dogs from other states and this is the 2nd time authorities have gone in with a warrant and seized all dogs in her home. She has been on the radar of the rescue community for various unethical allegations. The name of her rescue is THE RESCUE CONNECTION I will warn you all once again-- PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU GO AHEAD AND SIGN UP TO TRANSPORT ANY DOG TO A so called rescue. Just because they claim to be a rescue doesnt mean they are ethical- doesnt mean they do right by the animals! I understand that these poor dogs were stacked in crates on top of each other in her kitchen!! I also understand that people in rescue often say YES to taking in dogs that will be put to death in an attempt to save their lives.... who hasnt had more than the legal limit of dogs in their home from time to time? I get it. Do your homework - ask questions-- google the name of the rescue and the contact person. You can certainly gather a lot of information on social networking sites--- but you simply must take the time to do it! Find out what you can and make an educated decision about getting involved. AND FINALLY, DO NOT SEND ANY MORE DOGS TO THIS PERSON!!
