Hear me out in this. We are so addicted to instant - TopicsExpress

Hear me out in this. We are so addicted to instant gratification, in general, as a society. We know the monetary aspects that led to a big economical crash. But we also do it on FB. Its so easy when we are lonely or upset or needing validation to post on FB and immediately, within seconds!, youve got people telling you youre beautiful and theyre there for you and hugging you and, well, it feels good! But it isnt what we need. I compare it like this, Im starving!!! But Im too lazy, too tired to go shopping and then COOK?!! So I binge on that bag of potato chips and that box of cookies and maybe take a second to make a pb&j sandwich. But it isnt what my body NEEDS! Now Im not hungry so Im not gonna go make me a meal, Im content. Temporarily. On shit thats gonna make me sick and diseased and fat and kill my energy later. And thats what we do, getting that temporary and shallow immediate validation with all the bullshit we post on FB, feeling full but never getting what is truly gratifying. Ok. Not everyone does it. Not everyone is empty or lonely or stressed. Kudos to you healthy people!! But we all know the ones who do it. Give them a hug. In person sometime. They need it.
