Heather Marie Hodge asked I have a question and hope someone can help me. I have a three year old dane and shes acting like shes been beaten, she has gotten to a point where she is attached to my hip and wants nothing to do with anyone else. When she sees me she is excited and happy, when she sees my male roommate she wants nothing to do with him,and when she gets into trouble she will wince,and act like well... shes about to get beaten especially when it has to do with my roommate. I know know he would never hurt her or any dog in that way and Ive tried to get her warmed up and realize shes safe but there has been no progress. She just runs to my bedroom and refuses to move, is there anything i can do to help her realize she is out of that situation and is now safe, that people that come over and my roommate is not out to get her? I was hoping that my other dane which is a puppy would help her but he just makes her more nervous in these situations, and Im nervous now because my fiancee works on a tugboat and is gone more time than he is home. But to her i imagine he will be just another stranger in the house. Can someone please give me some ideas to help her cause i hate seeing her like this, she is a wonderful dog and i just want her to finally feel safe.
