Heaven Passes the Torch was the first song I wrote after hearing the tragic news of Jimi Jamisons passing. I saw a vision of Jimi standing at heavens gate passing the baton to other great singers around the globe. He inspired so many with his spirit and his gift. One of the worlds premier rock vocalists. Scott Innes and Joe Mulherin put together an epic video to accompany this song for the church service in Jimis honor a few months back. Marc Sherer was the first singer to add his vocal talents. Then the Great Bill Champlin. Then the iconic Mike Reno. Then one of rocks finest, Bobby Kimball. The results are thrilling. A heart trust of total feeling. It will be one of the many highlights of Torch: the Music Remembers Jimi Jamison and Fergie Fredericksen to be issued in April by Frontiers.
