Heavy Rainfall Friday Night into Saturday; The National Weather Service is tracking a slow moving cold front that will impact Massachusetts tonight into Saturday. The system will bring heavy rain that could cause poor drainage street flooding and localized minor stream flooding across portions of western Massachusetts, particularly the eastern slopes of the Berkshires. Widespread rainfall of 1.5-2.5 with isolated 3 amounts are possible from Worcester County west, and up to 1.5 are possible east of Worcester County. The bulk of the heavy rain moves in after 10 PM, but there could be a few spotty downpours during the afternoon and evening today ahead of the main band of rainfall, particularly in the western interior. To reduce the potential for flooding check the storm drain near your home and make sure its clear of debris.
