Hello Again I am finally finished Hope you love it and I hope I get an A+ This is it please correct me or add more My Non-Human Right Animal Cruelty My Right is that we should ban all Animal Cruelty which can be harmful for the Animals and the Environment. Statement 1: Battery Chickens Battery Chickens are treated like dirt. They are taken full advantage of and dis-respected at the most harshest. When they are Hatched as Fertile Eggs the females only 24hours old, get their Beaks trimmed or chopped down to a certain length to stop them pecking each other and to stop them injuring themselves this can lead to them not eating right and Bleeding or even a case of death. The Males are either put in a Grinder which kills them instantly or put into a Bag and suffocated while still alive. Then they are put into a Barn which lets them roam until they are Pullets (Under 1 year old Hen) and then they are crammed into a small cage no bigger than the size of two of our S.S Textbooks with pages open and put together. Which is very small. Some Hens/Pullets die because they are so crammed in the small cage that when they die it causes them to rot and cause many diseases like Coccidiosis, Salmonella and it is horrible. And the worst part is they sleep poop and live on the Dead Chooks. The Cages are Metal and they have wire floors so some chooks get so used to it their Toes and Feet curl or get injured. The Excrement is so smelly and the number of pile of waste at the bottom is shocking and Rats can crawl through the cages and eat the eggs or eat the chickens. They carry the most diseases and as they are vermin it can be transmitted so dam easily. They are in a Shed which has lights which make the hens think it is day time which makes them lay longer. The eggs are taken away on a conveyer belt and goes to the selection room which we don’t need to discuss because it’s not relevant. Some of the farmers actually starve them so they produce more eggs, and when their beaks are cut off some of them die. They live for the hens are 72 weeks when the flock is culled and replaced. Which means some give out and are absolutely exhausted. After the 72 Harsh, Horrid and Mortifying weeks they are ripped out of their cages and slammed into a Cage ready for slaughter because people think it can’t get any worse but it does. After their Seasons of one of the most productive animals on earth they are put to the death sentence where people like me and other very kind volunteers rescue over 300 Hens from Slaughter which gives us the satisfaction and them also. It gives them a second chance at life and they get that chance it helps them locate their Personality and life to which everyone and anything needs. Right now in the South Island there is a Battery Farm who is sending their so called “Useless” hens to slaughter and a very kind person and an organization has some in. Without people and organizations today we would not have this opportunity to do this. SPCA, SAFE and HUHANZ are Organizations who rescue and give a home to and some are a non-profit organisations who need the money to keep this going. There has been a scandal on the news recently about a so called free ranged farmer who sold 42.8 Million or so eggs which were sold as Free Range But were not. This disgusts me as they have been lying and making a fortune on it while these chooks are exploited for the treasure they produce. What they do is they offer the Business money and then they get the hens and sell the hens to people who want them like people like families who want to teach their kids about topics like this. As you can probably see and hear that I want this to change and it to stop. Things to get It up and running is to get people aware of this matter. Get involved and give these hens a chance to a better life and you could get some eggs in return. We have campaigns for this like SPCA does and they raise awareness. I am volunteering for the SPCA soon and It can help animals without the Freedom or Voice to speak. I hope I strongly have persuaded you with this and that you can remember this speech when you look at the Caged Eggs and Free Range Eggs at the Supermarket and think what one life was sacrificed to create that one egg.
