Hello, Do you know an educator or a team of teachers who are using agriculture as a theme to teach academic subjects? Are their students learning about nutrition, the food system, careers in agriculture, or how agriculture serves our society? If you know such an educator or you are such a teacher, then consider applying for Colorados Excellence in Teaching About Agriculture Award. The award winner will receive $500 and be recognized by Colorados agricultural community. This award will recognize an outstanding educator for creative efforts to teach students about the importance of agriculture and their ability to integrate agriculture topics into academic curriculum. Eligible teachers must be currently engaged in classroom instruction at the pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade levels. Colorados award winners application will be submitted for national consideration to the USDA Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture awards. Deadline to apply is January 1, 2015. Questions?
