Hello Everyone, Just hoping that some of you out there might be - TopicsExpress

Hello Everyone, Just hoping that some of you out there might be able to help my neighbor that just moved in about a week ago. I found out after they had been here a few days that they had been homeless for about 4 months, going to various parks to sleep. It is a very sad situation when you think about that. A pregnant woman with 2 children, ages 9 and 11. They are very sweet children. Theyve been sleeping on the floor because they have no beds. I just gave the Mom the one Billy used to sleep in before he started using the hospital bed he uses now. However, they still need 2 beds for the children. Also, sheets and blankets. I gave them some but it will not be enough for winter. They literally moved in with only the clothes on their back. I gave them about half of my stuff, like essentials, but needed to go and buy the rest of what she might need to eat and cook with, clothes, toys for the children and just what I was able to do. Someone is suppose to be coming today to bring a couch, microwave, t.v. and a game table for the children. Im just not sure if he will show, but if he does, they will have those things. Bob and Loretta Kahlor bought a load of groceries to tide them over for a while. What a blessing they are for doing such a generous thing. I was also fortunate enough to get Cascade H.S. to make them up a food gift basket for the holidays that will be delivered on Dec. 18. They need everything. You name it, they need it. I will say that seeing the relief and the smiles on those little faces has been a gift like no other. They seemed so defeated and their spirits are being lifted now. They desperately need a washer and dryer and vacuum. If anyone can donate a gift card so that they can buy underclothes, shoes, etc. that would be a real blessing. They need a kitchen table and chairs. Dressers. I gave them dishes, but getting a full set of silverware, plates and glasses would just be nice, but not as much a necessity as everything else. She also desperately needs washcloths and towels and just whatever anyone else can do for them. I pray for some of you to open your heart to this family who has had it so difficult. Love Debbie and Billy
