Hello FB family and friends. As I scrolled through my FB with my morning coffee I realized that I have been doing this for almost 10 years. So I decided to look back at my wall when I started here. OMG, it was so different then. Calm, friendly and happy. People said hi to friends they hadnt seen in years and kept up with family that lived away. It WAS wonderful. But something has changed so drastically. Our walls have become port folios of self captured photos where we think we look great and are sure everyone else will too. There are vulgar, dirty, and completely inappropriate posts. Im reminded of this everytime I think of my 10 yr. old grand-daughter seeing something. We tell each other when we cant sleep, what we are hungry for, ask what to wear, where we are and where we are going. Really? is it anyones business, and do really think they care. I say we, because I am guilty too. We decide who can see our posts and block who we dont want to see them. Recipes and decorating photos? isnt that what Pinterest is for? And dont get me started on the games and game requests....UGH! Then there is the drama. Will it ever stop and it just keeps getting worse. Who is sleeping with who? tell it on FB.....Who is getting married? tell it on FB... Who is fired and Why? tell it on FB...Lives, businesss, relationshipss, friendships, and even families have been ruined on FB. People take out their trash here. I have seen the hurt in friends faces after they have been trashed by retaliation. Whats on TV tonight.....google it. Who won the game....call a friend. On January 1, 2015, I am shutting down my FB. So if you use messenger to contact me...get my number. Invite me to an event....get my address. I have become addicted to a web page that is no longer interesting and a waste of my time. So, in closing I do want to say that I do love my FB friends, well most of them, there are some people that should have been removed and havent..:P I will miss the good news, the adventure photos, the hugs and smiles that made my day. Going spend sometime with the dictionary and see if I find Selffie, hashtag, LMFAO, candy crush and de-friend. Please share and comment. Love you all.
