Hello FYSA players, parents and fans! Please see note below from FYSA President, Kip Harmon. SUN, WARMTH, SMOKE AND CHANGE This summer certainly goes down in the record books…a record late start, followed by an almost immediate dose of record-breaking heat. Somehow, some way, our FYSA staff and field crew made it all come together and the summer soccer season is rapidly coming to a close. With the late start to summer, coupled with basic economics of these times, we are down a couple of hundred players for summer registration. But there’s no shortage of excitement and competition as we have enjoyed a very successful season to date. Thanks to everyone for making it happen. The “new” midnight Sun Tournament just ended and the new format was a success. We look forward to growing our numbers next summer in making the event even bigger and better. As we move towards the end of summer, we are saddened by the resignation of our executive director Linda Burke. After almost six years of service with FYSA…Linda submitted her resignation to the board of directors last week. We would like to wish Linda the very best of luck in the future and look forward to her continued involvement with FYSA in some capacity in the days ahead. With Linda’s resignation, the board of directors is now looking for a full-time executive director to replace Linda.
