Hello Friends, Yesterday, I decided not to take any part in any political debate on FB or at any other forums. I have noticed that in such debates everyone tries for oneupmanship. Every person thinks that his views and ideology only are right. I have seen in parliament and Assembly that opposition leaders and ruling ones sit together in cafeterias and have tea or coffee together. Unfortunately common men and friends like you and me (This is only an example. Please dont take it personally) become foes or arch rivals. Instead of discussing politics and becoming arch rivals lets work together for the much deserved Hindu Muslim unity. Lets fight together the forces that create enmity. Lets stop calling names for each other. Lets fight forces that give slogans like Musalman ka ek hi sthaan, Kabristan ya Pakistan. Lets fight forces that keep minorities, specially Muslims and Christians, who keep them at bay from sharing power. some will raise the bogey of Terrorism. To them I can say only one thing. Bad Apples are everywhere. Lets not look at a few bad Apples and denounce the majority. In India we need administrative reforms at all levels. Lets force the government that be to keep Law enforcing forces like police, CBI and other agencies totally free of political control. Here in Canada and other Western countries they are totally free of political masters. They have Boards that govern these forces. For recruitment, transfers, promotion or demotions or even disciplining them is governed by Boards. Let the Boards devise their own policies. There are Committees comprising of public and police to see that law enforcing agencies are working properly and are not bias against anyone. These kind of reforms are needed in every department in India. From today Ill be writing and working for implementing these reforms in India. Whether I get support from my friends or not. Ill try to make this a Movement. I am sure, sooner or later this will happen. Yes, I am aware that politicians and their chamchas will oppose this idea tooth and nail. They will never allow their powers to be taken away. The task is difficult but not impossible. No one including myself has any magic wand to have changes overnight. Someone has to start and that Ill do.
