Hello Friends of Rio Muchacho Organic Farm and the Rio Muchacho Environmental School! The school is now in the first month of the new 2013 school year. We have 30 students being taught in our open classrooms this year all eager to learn from their dedicated teachers. Help us continue planting the seeds of organic permaculture farming by giving a donation to the Rio Muchacho Community Environmental School today. Community involvement, education and organic permaculture practices are values that this farm was built on. Holding true to those values, this week 15 public school teachers came from surrounding communities to learn about the importance of an environmental education from our very own Environmental School teachers. The group underwent an education for themselves. Through a tour of the farm’s compost systems, and high energy interactive lessons on how to teach an environmental curriculum to children, these teachers left empowered with new tools to show their students how to better care for the earth we live on and make it richer.
