Hello, My husband and I need some help rehoming one of our dogs. We are both active duty military and will be PCSing to Germany and were set to leave Colorado Springs on 1 October. While we have been able to find homes for our other dogs, we are having trouble finding a good place for my Pit Bull, Bruiser, and we cant take him with us because Pits are banned in Germany. We were hoping that, since this site has helped so many other families and dogs, you could share this and help us find him a good home. Bruiser is 9 years old, pure-bred, red-nosed Pit Bull. He is better with women than men but will warm up eventually to everyone. He hasnt been around children much so he gets a little weirded out at first and really just wants them to stand still so he can sniff them all over. Hes never really been around cats. He has never been aggressive with people (unless hes being yelled at for doing something bad or gets scared by someone he doesnt know and then he runs and hides in a corner and growls) BUT he can be aggressive with other dogs, especially big male dogs. He usually does alright with female dogs but it depends on how young and energetic they are. Bruiser is my baby. Hes been a part of my family since he was 4 weeks old. It breaks my heart that I cant take him with me and I cant stomach the idea of surrendering him to the Humane Society. Please, if you have room in your life for him, or know someone else who does, please call me at 937-304-7052. Thank you so much, Shanna
