Hello caring folks! Just an update - Ligaya Blacklaws started her immunosuppressants yesterday after blood results came back the same at her Tueaday hematology appt. Shes not feeling stellar, but not the worst either. They have decided to go the immunosuppressant road rather than the bone marrow transplant as its less risky and can have a good chance at putting her into remission. If this fails, we will proceed with the BMT. She will have lots of different side effects with this medication, and is starting to feel it now and its only day 2. Shes being monitored closely by her hematologist and cardiologist. Send her lots of positive thoughts please as this is the beginning of a new journey for her. ❤️
