Hello everybody! Here is another physician we will see and hear at our congress: Dr. Gianfranco Baronzio from Turbigo, Italy. Born in Rome, he received his medical degree in surgery and medicine at the University of Milano, where he postdoctorally specialized in occupational health. Dr. Baronzio did and still does researches on various themes, such as myocardial contractility determined by angiography and ecocardiography, palliative care in oncology, the state of vitamins, aminoacids, minerals, cytokines, free radicals in aids cachexia, immunosuppressive factors in cancer. He has collaborated with the University of Pavia, the hospital of Rho, the National Cancer Institute Milano, the Radiotherapy Center Policlinico Di Monza, the Laurent Schwartz Polytechnique Paris and others. Dr. Gianfranco Baronzio is a family doctor and scientific director of Demetra Cell Factory and the Hyperthermia Centre Terni. He is member of the Thermal Society for Medicine and the Interdisciplinary Programs Clinical Hyperthermia Society. Dr. Baronzio has published on different aspects of cancer dealing with the immune system, nutrition and hyperthermia. On Saturday from 2 to 2:30 p.m. he will lecture about hypoxia, the immune system, metabolism and hyperthermia.
