Hello everyone ! And thank you for adding me to the group. I am a french director and specialized myself in trailers of theater productions. I do it all alone from the shooting to all the post-production, like many I guess. I started editing on FCP 6 and jumped directly to FCP X when it came out. I shoot with only one camera (Panasonic AG-AC 130) from three different angles over three performances. I can use up to 6 microphones onstage plus the sound that comes out of the mixing desk. So I got a LOT of sound to mix in the end. So here is my question : If I use the sync clips all my sounds do not appear in the inspector, I only get 2 channels to choose from. If I make Multicam clips, THEN I get all my channels to choose from in my inspector. The point is to save time and not have to do the Open in timeline thing. I only have to check boxes in the inspector... GREAT BUT... Then I do not access to another great feature of FCPX, which is AUDITION. Is it normal that I cannot AUDITION multicam clips ? Maybe Im missing something here... I also tried with Compound clips but I get the same result as with synced clips...only 2 audio channels in the inspector... :-( If anyone has an idea, or maybe if Apple is listening, it would be great to be able to AUDITION multicam clips. Here below is an example of what I do. Thanks !
