Hello everyone. First post from me. Im a local Titanic researcher/historian/author who has supplied to media over the years and I wanted to make this first post a Titanic related one. Hopefully it may interest someone. This is C&S Steels of the Highfield Works, Bilston which was the former safe manufacturers Thomas Perry & Son Ltd who manufactured and supplied safes around the world including supplying those to the ill-fated R.M.S.Titanic. In fact her safes have been photographed, filmed and even one raised which still bears the Thomas Perry plaques. The Midlands has a large connection to Titanic including such things as anchors, chains, engine piping, beds, table wares, crew, just to name a few.
