Hello everyone. Sorry there have been no posts to the page over the weekend, but to be honest, I didnt know what to say, my heart is truly broken. :-( What Id like to do now is to thank everyone who worked with us at Yes Bathgate and to everyone who followed this page. Id also like to thank the lovely people of Bathgate who engaged in conversation with us at the doors or invited us in - I lost count of the number of times I was invited in for a cup of tea. :-) Ill miss doing that every night. I met a lot of people whos lives were tough, that could have been greatly improved with a Yes vote. I desperately wanted it for them. 8 food banks in Bathgate - sickening!! One gentleman even told me that he didnt go to the food bank all the time because he didnt want to leave other people short, so instead, he went without. The Yes campaign is over, but I cant just switch off to all the problems I heard about on doorsteps. If you, or anyone you know is struggling in any way, whether it be to do with benefits, food, home help needed - whatever,please get in touch with me. A lot of people are keeping the Yes momentum going, with new groups, such as the 45, starting up or by joining the SNP.
