Hello everyone, Today was a very busy day for setting up camp. - TopicsExpress

Hello everyone, Today was a very busy day for setting up camp. We had council members from both Indian Brook and Millbrook assist today in setting up and contributing. A big thanks to Indian Brook Councillor Mike Sack for donating wood and a late night call for toilet paper! ( Funny, but essential). Councillors Keith J Julian for working on our teepee and support from our government. Also, a great big thanks for Millbrook First Naiton councillor, Linda Maloney, who toured the site and spent several hours speaking and visiting local community members from neighbouring towns. The protest is intended to be a Nation based protest with support of community allies and landowners affected by the project. We have had overwhelming support and look forward to our first official day tomorrow as our teepee goes up with our flags and the lighting of the sacred fire. Thanks to Dorene Bernard for her advise and guidance and Donna Knockwood for her spiritual support also. A great big thank you to Louis Joe Bernard and Nathan for bringing our teepee poles all the way from Unamaki. I tell you it was a special feeling to see them land with the and back in with the poles. So many people helped out today and lots of local community members from all over Colchester and East Hants, Indian Brook, Millbrook and Pictou Landing elder Mary Hatfield and Carter brought us some sweetgrass from Pictou. We hope to make a difference and uncover the mystery of how this company was able to sneak under the radar of both citizens and environmental assessments. So sorry, there is just too many to mention... the lady who painted all the signs until she was writing backwards! Opps, Toby Brian Condo and Bo Paul.... Anyways, I shouldnt have started mentioning names... sorry for all who were not mentioned. I will try to post more often to update camp activities. Enough is enough! #IDLE NO MORE.
