Hello, good evening and welkomm. We have been out delivering GMP hampers to deserving local residents - every little helps (towards a nice Christmas) as our local supermarket would say. Just time to bring you up to date with jobs attended by officers over the past couple of days. So in reverse order i.e. starting now and working backwards: 6.52pm - report of erractic driving of car on Barton Stretch. Car last seen joining M60 ans hasnt been seen since. Guess its lost in the crowds at The TC. 4.05pm - Report of fighting on Pipers Court - turned out to be an argument over a fail to stop rtc (no evidence to claims) 1.59pm - child v car collision in Irlam. Child suffered minor injuries. Attended by Doctor at scene, mum taking son for check up. 11.40am. OOOOPS. One British Gas driver is going to have the mickey taken out of him for a while - he drove off from Tescos without paying. He returned to pay once his boss told him of his misdemeanour. 1.47am - Officers came across a confused male on a mobility scooter in Eccles just about the same time as a concerned neighour raised the alarm. Long story short. He was returned safely to his home in Irlam and family informed. 11.16pm - after being hassled by a group of youths at the bus stop by the Coach & Horses a man clipped the ear of one of his tormentors. They retreated, phoned their hit couple who a few minutes later turned up and started to assault the man, only stopping when others intervened. Monday 2.08am - report of thieves attempting to break into a lorry at Makro. Turned out to be a delivery driver who had wandered into an out of bounds area. Sunday 1.38am - AJ Bell Stadium. Christmas; a time of goodwill to all men? Unless you drinlk too much and start picking arguements and fights. Then the cops get called and you get thrown out of the venue. Patrols also attended 3 x Concern for Welfare incidents, 6 x Domestic incidents, 1 x Abandoned 999 call, 2 x Neighbour disputes, 3 x Concern for Safety incidnets and 2 x reports of Off Road Bikes causing a nuisance. .....and I now have to go as we have just had a report of older youths apparently attempting to damage the bus stop shelter on Merlin Road.................
