Hello ladies. I wanted to share this with you. I made a cutting/sewing table from a hollow core door covered with contact paper from the Dollar Store. I have two of them now. The first one I sat on top of two 2-drawer filing cabinets. The second one on top of storage boxes that were taking up space in another room. I really think they are great. They are light weight, portable, and wipe-able. You can choose any color to match your décor. I had originally thought of painting them...but saw the contact paper one day and like the color. You will need a second pair of hands to place the contact paper. We did this one yesterday from start to finish in 40 minutes. The contact paper went down a lot easier in the 80+ degree temp of the garage. I used a wet wash cloth to swipe as I went from top to bottom. We laid the door on saw horses; marked the center at the top and bottom of the door. It takes some finesse but I thought it was well worth my time. Let me know if you try it. You might find second-hand hollow core doors at ReStores etc.
