Hello let me introduce myself. My name is Becki and I am nothing shy of the word MOTORHEAD! I am now a part of Wild-side Mustangs, and will be doing some writing and posting. As long as I can remember toy cars, race tracks, dirt bikes, and basically anything that went fast trumped Barbie’s, playing dress up and any other girl activities. My father modified everything his hands touched and swamped motors with things that should never go any faster than 15 mph. Makes me laugh thinking about it. My mother on the other hand wanted to drive them. She owned a 1970 Mach 1 Grabber Blue and I still remember that car till this day, the interior, the smell but mostly me telling her, “Drive it fast mom, that’s what their made for, right mom”. I have carried those memories and the passion for mustang my whole life. It wasn’t until 2003 that I really started going to shows and events. In 2013 I branched out and starting participating and attending events. And this year 2014 has been an epic year to say the least in my Saleen. I own a 2008 Saleen S281 #26. She is White with an 1 of 1 interior. She is my pride and joy. My story started with her in 2011 when I drove to Georgia to pick her up. It took me 2 years to find her. I knew exactly what I wanted: white, blue strips, low mileage, low number and in the Saleen world that’s not easy. I introduced my Saleen to the drag strip this year and all though she is bone stock she isn’t too shabby on the track, making her record pass at 13.7. Drag racing is a part of my core and I truly enjoy the feeling I get from racing! Although I will retire my Saleen from drag racing due to wear and tear, low mileage and honestly just wanting to maintain her pristine condition, I look forward to one day owning a modified Stang in the future that will illustrate me on the track! I look forward to representing all my fellow STANGERS each week as we throw down the low down on your Stang!
