Hello to my Rolling Thunder family. As Im sure youve noticed, - TopicsExpress

Hello to my Rolling Thunder family. As Im sure youve noticed, Karen and I havent been as active as we would like in Club business. Luckily, Ken, Jenny, Richard, Maria and many others have stepped up to lead rides and events. The Rolling Thunder is near and deer to our hearts. Weve just been dealing with some bad news that we feel we should finally share with all of you. I was diagnosed with cancer a while ago and have been battling this cowardly disease ever since. I didnt want to share this news with everyone because Im a private person and I didnt want to be treated any differently. But this Monday the 20th I go in for a second surgery in Los Angles which will either fix me or be the last attempt at a surgical solution. This could be a 10 hour surgery, and of course I could die on the table. I dont plan to however. I have a lot left to do. I just want to thank each and every one of you who have touched our lives. My days were better thanks to you and sharing the road was a privilege and an honor. I wont be able to ride for a few months, but I will ride again. If lightening strikes and I somehow dont make it, Im counting on all of you to take care of the love of my life Karen. I dont know what I did to deserve her but if youre truly my brother or sister, you will always keeps her in your heart. Enough sad stuff. Lets get through this damn surgery my family. Ive got shit to do! On another note, anyone want to ride this Saturday? I need to ride.
