Here are two Little Twister quilts I did. The small one is 4 5 squares bordered by white, before cutting with the twister tool. The Other one was 5 squares sewn in a grid with green borders. Then cut with the twister tool. I hadnt figured out the checkerboard layout, and didnt realize that big floral prints with contrasting background are a bad idea. As you can see, the blocks with a continuous color throughout (like a batik) or small calico print work best. Contrast is key.
