Here at A Simpler Thyme ltd., my vision for this spring, is to build a small cabin to host workshops and demos here at our farm. We have nearly 20 acres of wooded land, a small hobby farm with a variety of farm critters, many herb & flower gardens and our own bee hives, just waiting to be explored and discovered by herbal enthusiast. I seasonally plant a 6000 sq. ft. herb and vegetable garden that is an unique teaching tool in itself. Ultimately, I am planning to conduct guided herbal walk and talk tours, hands on learning for all ages, herbal samplings and pairings, along with personal & confidential herbal consultations. While sitting in the warmth of our cabin, it’s easy to see my vision develop and to plan for the rebirth of spring. Guess that’s why you start getting seed catalogs in the mail in January! :) One has to have a goal and dream to strive for to keep ones desires alive. By putting my trust and faith in Christ, I know that this vision will become a reality and that I will be able to share with others my passion of herbs.
