Here in Alaska, weve got an important election coming up this Tuesday. Im not going to tell anyone who they should vote for or what issue they should support. I just hope that everyone will take the time to really vet the candidates and vote for the one that truly stands closest to what you believe in (you will never find anyone that youll agree with 100% of the time). Its obvious to everyone on both sides of the aisle that our country is heading in the wrong direction right now. Our local elections provide us with the opportunity to bring about positive change. Vote for someone with the guts and common sense to make this country all that it should be. Watch out for candidates and issues that are supported by big money. Big money doesnt flow into anyones hands unless there are future favors involved. Lastly, quit complaining about government if you dont even bother to vote! Seems like everyone has a gripe with something, but less than half of eligible voters even bother to show up and spend the few minutes it takes to cast their vote.
