Here is a great example of the SAID principle: (SPECIFIC adaptation to imposed demand) A very strong guy, who at 90+KG of body weight can pull One Arm Chin Ups with ease, shows great grip feats, flexibility in the legs and more. When attempting a Front Lever - little to show for.... How can this be?? The body works in patterns and get better at patterns. The carry over between patterns exists, but it is not as simple as I am strong in all the isolated components of a pattern - I am strong in the pattern. You still need to practice the pattern. A lot of practice. Here are some great OAC/Pups by the same guy, really awesome stuff for such a big dude: youtube/watch?v=TLA3d4hjKbo In movement training I always believed in Patternizing my students and then DE-patternizing them - but that is the subject of another post, Ido. idoportal
