Heavy and hurried steps shook the earth, each one a small earthquake, a tremor bringing a monster closer and closer and the boy knew it was coming for him. How he knew he had no idea but he was operating on instincts now and they told him to run as fast as his legs could carry him and as he ran, he feared it would not be nearly fast enough. One quick look behind confirmed his fears. He had no hope of out-running it. He was going to be snapped up in those massive jaws and tossed down its cavernous throat, eaten alive.
