Here is a very interesting story of how tender minds were influenced into becoming Apple fanboys. Once upon a time, there were 2 major companies producing phones: Sony & Apple. Sony used to produce 33 crore models of phones out of which some were very popular (example: Xperia Z1, Xperia T2, Ultra, M3 etc) whereas Apple had only 1 model: iPhone. While all companies were spending huge amounts of money on advertising, Apple hit upon a long term plan of using subtle propaganda. The company created small teams of agents for a long term mission. These mission agents would visit schools and give long speeches of how Apple is the only company which has light in its campus (showing the right path) and iPhone is the only true phone and so on. At the end of the event, all the students would be asked to pick gifts of their choice from a huge tray. This huge tray would contain bundle of boxes with each box having different images on the box cover. Some of the boxes would have iPhone images on the cover while some would have Sony phone model images. Now, here comes the psychological manipulation. Those Apple agents had repackaged those boxes such that most of those boxes which had a Sony model image would actually be empty and rest would have some low-end Sony phone, whereas those which had Apple image would definitely have a sparkling brand new iPhone!! So, after the kids picked up gift boxes of their choice, they would all to go to their classrooms and enthusiastically open the boxes. Among those kids who had picked Sony boxes, most would be in utter dismay (because it would contain nothing) and few would be satisfied (because it would contain a low-end Sony phone), whereas those who picked Apple boxes rejoiced because those would have iPhones. This process went on, month after month. Over time, the tender minds were psychologically manipulated into believing that Apple never fails. Picking a box containing Apple image will always have an iPhone whereas those with Sony image would not be trustworthy. Even those who had always loved Sony phones had begun to hate Sony due to this manipulation. Slowly, these kids were turning in Apple fanboys. While this was in progress, Apple funded movies which selectively showed Sony in bad light by mocking its phone models & criticizing its phone design, but it never showed how iPhones had antenna problems or bending issues or map issues etc. To make it interesting to these kids, the producers hired some of the best actors and added hilarious scenes to engage with the young audience. So, on one hand, those who were on a mission were slowly turning school-kids into Apple fans while those movies which were funded by Apple were portraying Sony as a bad phone company, making the agents jobs easier because it was also manipulating those young minds. When we look at the bigger picture, we can find that in the long run, due to these sublte propaganda, most of the young, innocent minds were being converted into Apple fans with the box gift strategies and such propagandic movies helped them strengthen their case further to show that Apple is the only true phone company and easily convince them also to become Apple fans and hate Sony. This is how young minds were influenced into becoming Apple fanboys. PS: This is pure fiction and resemblance to any entity or practice is purely co-incidental.
