Here is another indelible fixture of the 1980s I always was a HUGE fan of Astronomy, Science, Technology back in the 80s and I still am today! Sadly my ability to pay attention in class SUCKED and that lack of being able to focus and pay attention affected my grades and consequentially my ability to move into the field, or fields, I so wanted to embrace and become a part of. However, On September 28, 1980, a great astronomer, scientist, and equally great human being, named Doctor Carl Sagan, changed all of that and brought the world of science and astronomy to the masses, and to people with hopelessly short attention spans like myself, by creating an absolutely BRILLIANT program, simply called Cosmos. Because I tended, and still tend, to absorb things a lot faster with visual stimulation, rather than reading endlessly boring/ancient text books in class, I learned more about science and astronomy in each episode of Cosmos than I EVER did sitting in a boring science class in the grade school I was attending at that time period!
