Here is something to shock it up for you. You need a partner. You go in to the set with no expectations. That alone the body doesnt like. It wants certainty. Its wants to know how much energy is going to be expended and when. So by it being thrusted in to the unknown this causes the body to fatigue and panic. This is where timed sets help when the person doesnt know the time and cant predict how much energy to use. This is why when you know the work out ahead of time you will instinctively sandbag. So here you will see me coaching stan. What I am doing is he has no clue how many reps he is going to do or how long or what kind. I can say 5 full reps and he will do 5 full. I can say 5 squeezes and he will just do half reps with hard squeezes at the top. Or I say hold it where Ill actually pull on it while he is holding it. Also Ill assist some of the reps and pull against on some so he doesnt even know the tension. For those of you who love a great pump get a partner to do this with you and challange you. Especially for those of you sick mo-fos who like pain. This is very painful especially if your spotter has no mercy. Lol my exact words to Chris Hanan was pick that back up or I am going to kick you.
