Here is why my friend Kristin uses the PowerStrips: Hi everyone! I would like to take the time to quickly introduce myself. As you know I’m a Physical Therapist of 23 years, a Cancer Survivor of 16 & a chronic pain sufferer as well. Many of you dont know that I have a history of 2 herniated discs in my back. When I stand up too long on my tile floor or if Ive lifted a patient without setting my core, I feel it & head for the ice pack. When I was ~ 8 I got my R arm caught in a rope swing & hung by it over the water for ~ 15 to 30 sec. When I was 16 I fell forward while riding a horse & got dragged by my R leg. When I was ~ 11 I went to sit in a chair behind the counter at my familys ice cream parlor that was not there & fractured my tail bone. Then with the birth of my 2nd child, I must have re-fractured it. When I was 20 I was a passenger in a car that was hit from the L side & ended up with a bruise on my R ischeal tuberosity ( the bone you sit on). So I have alot of trauma built up in my body. I am thrilled to be opening my own Myofascial Release practice soon & being able to offer the Power strips for clients to use in between treatments. Traumas tighten the fascia in our body that holds us together. So if your fascial restrictions have caused postural changes, then you may still need to see a Myofascial Release therapist to optimize your posture & then use the strips. These therapists are very naturalistic and may be more open to the strips as well.
