Here we GO ... along with this a.m.s inspirational message and B-ball news update, there will be a wee bit of an English lesson to go along ;) ... .. This will be really intresting too, PROMISE .. since I havent been in school in almost 35 years ... we just have to wait and see what the Lord has in store ... . my old school classmate and present day teacher Barbara Cavalier-Chaimowitz will correct me if necessary .. . English lesson first ... goes something like this .. .. All things work together for the GOOOD (preposition) for those who love Him (condition) .. .. .. we have the condition contingent upon the preposition .. for instance .. without faith (preposition) it is impossible to please God (condition) .. we hold these truths to be self-evident (preposition) that all men are created equal (condition) .. and now heres my present dilemma .. . Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding (preposition), in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will fulfill the desires of your HEART (condition) ... NEXT UP IN THE BATTERS BOX ... We hit up the 57th Ave (off of 10th Ave in Greenacres) blacktop court venue AGAIN last night .. 1st game . 2 on 2 .. Spence and I vs. Tony and Joel .. Im guarding Tony ... the guys about 6 inches shorter than me and BUILT .. COULD HAVE BEEN A STATUE .. I cant stop him for nothing ... hes playing like a run-a-away bus .. I mean Im throwing my chest .. entire body .. elbows .. everything I have at him and hes still moving me around like a rag doll .. never-the-less Spence and I win that game thanks to Spences cutting and slashing .. .. 2nd game .. Joel, Tony and I vs the MONSTER ... this guy is about 6 foot 4 inches ... double-tank sized ... were winning the whole game .. and then blow the last 3 or 4 points ... .. ran out of heart, I guess .. . .. Tony and I needed to double-team the MONSTER down low but didnt ;) .. .. . HERES MY DILEMMA .. TRUST .. . IN THE LORD .. ACKNOWLEDGE HIM .. DESIRES OF YOUR HEART .. . I get off of the court feeling pretty good despite the well-fought loss .. .. my left foot is dragging behind me and is really sore .. I mean really painfully sore .. .. playing the game of b-ball my entire life and having sustained NUMEROUS injuries of varied sorts and of different pain levels .. some of them really excruciating .. .. .. what do I do at this juncture I ask the Lord ... my foot is so wracked I cant even put any weight on it .. .. MY BACK HAS BEEN SO WRACKED in the past Ive had to go see an orthopedic surgeon for consultation .. do I say THATS IT .. pack up my gym bag .. retire and go back to coaching.. OR, in the spirit of NEVER SAY DIE .. continue in the pain and prolong the retirement .. .. LORD .. I TRUST IN YOU .. AMEN ;)
