Here we go - The guys arrive some 45 mins late, but theyre here. we get the CBP, The Port Authority Police and the FDNY. except it all goes wrong the Police and Fire get a call so the meeting party arent able to form up as the guard of honour for the guys. A couple of us go the other side - escorted of course, to assist the guys..... The Flight crew are all giggly and happy as they can be - why is that we wonder ??? Well between the guys theyve obviously behaved very well and charmed the pants of them - Oh Dear this is going to be an interesting week.... Were all waiting in the Baggage Hall for the cases - unexpectedly they were very well behaved no one sitting on the bagage belt etc... - I blame the tiredness for that though.... Ben and Andy Reid are checking for the bags - while Jake is practising his Hollister Model pose as you can see..More like Airfix if you ask me.. ? Nice beard Jake - bless him his right leg is all cut to pieces after doing the Spartan Run (You Mad Fool some would say).. So we now start the walk to the exit and we have our surprise set up for Ben care of the Independence Fund, Trac Fab and Vince...... The exit doors open and out we come - Wow look at that tank chair I hear..... It was left on one side so it could be seen..... Yeah I say to Ben Pukka eh...? He replies Oh yes ! . So do you reckon you can drive that Ben ? I say with a slight pause because Bens sussed somethings going on......... The Trac Fab Guys move forward and we notify Ben that this is his to use on loan from the Independence Fund of the USA..... MASSIVE THANK YOU INDYFUND. Bens face is a picture - Then I remember I am meant to be photographing this - I was just like everybody else in the Terminal Building absolutely emotional - cough!! cough!! - the External doors obviously opened and there was dust everywhere and it plays havoc with my eyes....... Just look at his face in the photograph and that was after 5 mins !!!! Ben fights his way into the chair and within seconds hes got it switched on and hes moving around like hes been in it for years, piruetting and all sorts, people cheering - it was a great moment. So off we go to the vans to lock and load so we can go off to the hotel (with an extra van for the TracFab Chair.... their experience on the drive to their hotel was quite funny too they were a little unsure of being on the right hand side of the road and the traffic here isnt slow either.... Ok so theyre at their Hotel and outside theres approx 30 - 40 very dappa dressed guys obviously Italian and the boys are beginning to wonder if theyre filming the Sopranos here !!! Nuff said..... TTFN till tomorrows installment - we are visiting Ground Zero early tomorrow with a couple of FDNY guys and then its off to see the NY Mets and a meet the players before the game against the Houston Astros So till tomorrow just take a look at Bens face because it says so much and like I said that was some 5 mins after the initial shock..... Pukka Night Night yall - oops that was down in South Carolina.......
