Heres my review for Xmen Days of future past...let me start off like this, as a movie goer its great, great acting, awesome cast of man candy as my sister put it....as a comic fan hated it. Now does this mean u should not see this movie no, u decide. But my opinion as a comic fan is it fell short and was a lazy attempt at telling a awesome story. Heres why....spoiler alert!!!!!!! Heres the real problem. Maybe this will clear up the controversy.... In the comics the senator Kelly enacts the bill and send the sentinels to hunt the mutants then the sentinels become self aware and attacks the humans along with the mutants. Prof x convinces the president he needs the xmen now to stop the sentinels, and prof x also tells the pres that like humans there are bad mutants as well as good, xmen are the good guys. Pres agrees and stops hunting, wolverine is the secret weapon that stops the sentinels cause hes a badass. Kitty pryde is sent back to the past to use classic xmen to assassinate senator who enacts the bill against the mutants. The threat was the sentinels in the comics...In this movie all they had to do was have prof x control trask into saying whatever prof x wanted, mind control trask and the movie was over. Stupid writing. No real threat. The sentinels couldnt be mind controlled so they are the real threat. Not trask ...a Human....that could be controlled. Also in the movie they show mystique looking through the files of dead mutant friends....how could they capture these mutants if the sentinels havent been enacted yet. Didnt make sense. Also IMPORTANT fact mystique is a villain, not a good person, but only because the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence plays her do they wrote the story where she is key and a deciding factor. Not to mention the misuse of Wolverine, again, he is a non factor, I almost pooped when they showed him ducting away from bullets shot at him from the sentinel....I was like WHAT!!! THEY HE IS DEFEATED SO EASILY AND THROW AWAY!! Ugh ...Hugh is a amazing actor and is in amazing shape for the role that he never gets to play to his full potential... Which is a shame. I did feel his emotions and that is because he is an amazing actor...but, All in all it was a 6 out of 10...again this is my opinion and it was fun, best part was Quicksilver, just to short but definitely sweet! Xmen tried again to make a movie that captures the essence of the comic, but without doing justice to the characters and not letting Wolverine be the badass he is it falls short and falls flat. It is a one time watch with no reason to see again, no big action shots and no big thrills, and the thrills we get are taken away as a distant memory of wolverine and wolverine alone, I wish that was true because I would like to forget this movie as well. Haha jk. This movie works as a big eraser to erase the last three movies and allow Sony and Marvel a chance to go back and maybe do the real Xmen movie us die hard fans are waiting for, i just wanna say one time, thats why i Love wolverine!!! Ok, Go see it and let me know. What u think!!!
