Hosted by Women for Kansas as a grassroots womens initiative designed to energize and educate women from across the state, the Taking Back Kansas convention gave women the knowledge and tools to go back to their communities to get out the vote for a new Kansas governor, secretary of state and U.S. senator. 500 women from more than 88 communities attended the events from Aug.29-30, 2014, in Wichita.
