Heres something that may be appreciated here. Over the course of my research on Eleanor Roosevelt, Ive found many interesting pieces of history that I never knew about before and are not generally taught or discussed in the public understanding and education of U.S. History. One of which is the fact that it was Eleanor Roosevelt, not Franklin, who first addressed the nation from the White House upon the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She spoke to the American people the night of December 7, 1941 during her weekly radio address (youtu.be/4unsg4W0JTM). FDRs A date which will live in infamy speech before the Joint Session of Congress and the American people was not given until the following morning.
